I think the entire 6 years we have lived here I never took the plunge to focus on this room because I thought you shouldn’t have a tv in a formal space. Well, if quarantine has taught me anything it’s that life’s too short to not LIVE. So living in the living room it is, which means tv 📺 in the evenings is a part of that livelihood. I initially was searching for someone to create a picture frame box for it, but then learned about the Art app on our smart tv! Just $2.99 a month and I can have a rotating gallery to fit my mood above the mantle.
I love everything that Lindsey at Mrs. Post stocks her shop with and these papermache bird busts are no exception!
The needlepoint firescreen is antique and passed down. John’s maternal great grandmother created it! And to round out the mantle’s look with a nod from my side, the cherub carving is one of the accessory pieces my grandmother sold in her antique shops every holiday season.
